Children's Pages - Year 6 Anderson Shelters - March 2009

All children in Year 6 have made a model of the WWII Anderson Shelters.

Anderson Shelters we built into the gardens of homes. They were used to protect you from the heavy bombing during WWII. The shelters would have been made from six corrugated iron sheets bolted together at the top. We have tried to replicate what they would have looked like.

The last few photographs show models of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, also made by year 6 pupils.
