Our girls' and boys'
football teams were lucky enough to be invited to Old
Trafford for a discussion on Racism in football. There they
met Rio Ferdinand, Jason Roberts, Gamst - Pederson, Bryan
Robson, Andy Cole and John Barnes; who answered some of our
children's questions on race and religious prejudice in
sport. Our 3 lucky questioners, Sana, Sarah and Daniel all
received a signed England shirt as well. Afterwards our
children had the chance to tour the stadium (where a certain
teacher managed to bump into a World Cup winner), where they
visited the changing rooms and sat in the dugout. A good
afternoon was had by all! |
