International Primary CurriculumHow Does the Brain Work?As the title suggests, the year 6 pupils researched into how our brain takes in information and how it is retained. Looking at factors such as moods and diet, and how they might affect learning. They also took on the role of teachers in an entry point that involved them teaching a peer a brand new skill. They had to plan the teaching of this skill and then reflect on the learning that took place. Answering important questions, such as Why did learning take place? What was difficult to teach? How did the learner respond to your teaching method? As you can see there were a great variety of new skills that were taught.
