Lockdown Family Cooking with Chef Martin

I hope you are all keeping well during these uncertain times. Hopefully you have seen some of the videos that the catering team have made during lockdown to share their favourite recipes with you. I have since made a recipe book which has been published, 'Lockdown Family Cooking with Chef Martin'. This book contains lots of different recipes for family favourites that you can make together at home. All royalties from this book are being donated to the 'NHS Charities Together' and we would really appreciate your support in purchasing a book.

The book is priced £6.99 plus £1.79 for P&P which is a total of £8.74. Should you wish to purchase a copy, please send the money to the following bank acoount and complete the order form below.

Our canteen staff are missing the children just as much as the teachers are, so they've made some super videos to show you how to make banana bread and chocolate brownies...with guest appearances from the Beaver Road Chickens! Check them out at the bottom of the page.

Share any pictures of you baking their tasty treats, with your class teachers on Seesaw.

We provide a daily hot lunch service for all children at the school. The two course lunches, which are cooked on site, offer pupils a balanced and nutritious meal with a choice of vegetarian and meat-based main courses. Our menus run on a three week cycle and the current menus can be downloaded below. All meals are served in the Dining Room at the First School and in the School Hall at the Junior School.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are automatically entitled to universal free school meals, but you may opt for packed lunch if preferred. If your child has special dietary requirements, these can usually be catered for and we ask you to discuss these with the School Office and let your child's class teacher know.

Any child who prefers to bring a packed lunch is welcome to do so, as long as it is inline with our Packed Lunch Policy which can be found under School Information - Policies. Trolleys for storing packed lunches are provided for each year group at Junior School and stored in the children's lockers at First School.

Meals are ordered in advance online at If you do not have a login or have forgotten your credentials, please contact the School Office.

The current cost of a school meal is £2.20

Payments can be made by signing up to direct debit on your Live Kitchen account or by card payment at the School Office.
