To support your child's learning at home, please use the activity packs below. Each activity pack comes with a video showing a short animation of a story designed to spark children's interests. Watch the videos first and then have a go at the activities!
We have developed the resources below to help support children's learning at home during this time they spend away from school. You will find a range of fun and engaging activities aimed to help develop children's writing and reading skills. These resources include activities such as a descriptive sentences challenge, synonyms word search, diary template and a comic strip.
Also listed below are English Learning at Home Units. These Talk For Writing units are designed to inspire and support your child to develop skills and confidence in speaking, reading and writing. The units are age-related but please pick and choose what is right for each child. They all include a model text which is also available as a streamed audio recording. Through the use of virtual teachers in the booklet, children will be guided through the units.
