Year 5

On this page, you will find resourcs, information and activities to support your child's learning at home.

Below are the year group objectives that your child is working towards in Reading in Year 5.

We have developed these resources to help support children's learning at home during this time they spend away from school. You will find a range of fun and engaging activities aimed to help develop children's writing and reading skills. These resources include activities such as retelling a fairytale and writing a book review.

The reading matrix gives examples of question stems parents can use to ask children questions whilst reading at home. These questions help deepen children's undrstanding and develop their inference skills.

Have a look and choose some activities which you might be able to have a go at from home and keep checking back as this page will be updated with more resources throughout this lockdown period.
