Beaver Road Juniors

Start Day: 8:30am

Breaktime: 10:00am - 10:15am 

Lunchtime: 11:30am - 12:30pm

End Day: 3:00pm

Year 4 is an important transitionary year of your child’s education at Beaver Road in which children move to the Junior School and continue their exciting Primary School journey. With collaborative discovery and exploration at the forefront of learning, children have the opportunity to learn about exciting new topics such as the Digestive System and the Romans in Britain. Children’s enjoyment and creativity is at the heart of our practice and children are encouraged to develop their own questions and enquires through collaborative learning challenges across the curriculum. Children are given the opportunity to ‘Review and Reflect’ on their Learning Journey, utilising what they have learnt in different contexts in order to gain a deeper understanding.

Our team of highly experienced, inspiring and enthusiastic Teachers and Teaching Assistants all share a child-centred vision for learning in which children think creatively and critically about the world around them. Children take ownership of their learning by making meaningful connections between the purpose of their learning and their role in the wider community, thinking carefully about their Rights and Responsibilities to others and themselves.

By the end of Year 4, children are resilient, resourceful learners who embrace challenges and foster a growth mind-set, which will allow them to take appropriate risks and push themselves to their best ability. Children become happy and inquisitive learners who seek out new knowledge at every available opportunity.
