These 'Learning at Home' activities are designed to create synthesis of learning between home and school. To enrich and enhance the chidlren's learning and experience and to bring the adults in their home world, into their school world. We love to see and share the children's expereinces, learning and adventures at home and over their weekends. It is a joy for all involved.
Sharing activities, events and special moments from home, is always a very enriching experience for our Nursery children. It builds their confidence and self-esteem as well as further strengthening our home-school link.
Reading to and with your children is the most impactful activity you can do.
'There can be few things as powerful as regularly reading to a young child. It has astonishing benefits for children: comfort and reassurance, confidence and security, relaxation, happiness and fun. Giving a child time and full attention when reading them a story tells them they matter. It builds self-esteem, vocabulary, feeds imagination and even improves their sleeping patterns.' We will be hosting an Early Reading and Writing workshop and we always have time for any questions or further guidance.
