Manchester Pupil Parliament

Manchester Pupils' Parliament is a collective of 17 schools from across the city who have Gold RRSA status in common. It is a platform for our young advocates to explore contemporary issues through the lens of the UNCRC, and to take action to inspire growth and postive change within our local community.

Our 2024-5 Pupil Parliament focus will be drawn from UNICEF's Changing Childhood Project - a piece of international research around the changing nature of young people's experience as the world has become more digital and globalised than ever before.

"We are living through an era of rapid and far-reaching transformation. As the world has changed — becoming more digital, more globalized, and more diverse — childhood is changing with it. The Changing Childhood Project — a collaboration of UNICEF and Gallup — was created to explore these shifts, and to better understand what it means to be a child in the 21st century. The project seeks to answer two questions: What is it like growing up today? And how do young people see the world differently?" UNICEF
