Parent and Carer Coffee Mornings

Please come and join us for our coffee mornings which take place at the First School most Friday mornings from 9AM, once you have had chance to drop off your children. Our mornings are a great way to meet other parents and carers, engage with members of the school community and gain more information about specific topics linked to a wide variety of topics.
Sometimes, due to availability of the person presenting, we have to change the day that these events happen. Look out for the weekly email where we share resources from our previous week's coffee morning and promote our future sessions.
Feedback from those who have attended our coffee morning's has been very positive and we are really pleased that the numbers of those who choose to attend each week is continuing to grow. If you are thinking about coming along, please do, everyone is very welcome! If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see being covered at our Coffee mornings then please do get in touch by emailing [email protected] with the subject 'Coffee mornings'.

Thank you to everyone that came to our Macmillan Coffee Morning. We managed to raise nearly £100, which is great!

Our Early Years Coffee Morning had a fantastic turn out! We hope to organise another one in the near future. We hope those that came managed to meet some new people and it was helpful to have their questions answered by Mrs Horan and Mrs Holmes.

Talking to someone about your mental health...
1. Choose someone you trust to talk to This might be a friend, family member, colleague or someone you don't know, like a support helpline.
2. Think about the best place to talk It’s important to choose a place where you feel comfortable enough to open-up.
3. Prepare yourself for their reaction. Try to give them time to process what you’ve told them. And don’t forget to be kind to yourself and practise self-care.
