Year 6 were so lucky to have a special guest hook them into their topic of World War Two! A local author, MIchael Thame, who has written a series of books about The Conyers Gang, dressed up himself in order to provide a Q & A session as well as an actual reading of one of his novels! He provided contextual exidence for the children drawing on personal connections to the era and even brought in real artefacts for the children to see! Michael is now a link to the school and eager to support across the curriculum. Our Year 6s were asking him lots of questions about writing narratives and how to create an opening!
