PPA Letter - Art, Music & PE Clubs (24.09.21)

 

A waiting list is currently being compiled for the Art, Music and PE clubs advertised earlier this week.

 

For reasons of health and safety and to ensure high quality provision and resources in each of these clubs, there is a set number of children that can attend at any one time. As these clubs are run voluntarily by staff in school, they are not intended to be a substitute for childcare provision and could be cancelled at short notice. The groupings for Art Club and Multi-Sports will be reviewed at the end of the Autumn and Spring terms, with those on the waiting list being offered places where possible. 

 

At this present time, no child has been allocated a guaranteed place for Art Club or Choir and those with a place starting next week (for the Autumn term) will find out on School Spider by Friday 1st October 2021 as mentioned in the school letter. If your child would like to attend one of these clubs, please register their interest on Parent Pay by the end of the school day tomorrow. Due to the overwhelming response to places earlier in the week, we are aware of a technical issue with Parent Pay not allowing parents to register their child's interest by paying any relevant fees. This has now been rectified. Any charges paid for those children who do not secure a place this term will be credited to your account and rolled over to the term they can join a club. Alternatively, if you would prefer, a refund can be requested by contacting the school office.

 

As stated in the school letter, we endeavour to give all children who wish to join these clubs the opportunity to do so, and if needed we will limit the number of clubs your child can attend. Please note, places are not given on a first come, first serve basis and will be distributed fairly across the school. Given the high demand for these clubs, I understand some of you will be disappointed to have not secured a place straight away. In addition to these clubs, there will be a range of new clubs starting at Beaver Road soon and more information on this will be shared with you closer to the time.
